Had a very interesting time. The French band gave a program and we had a man speak. Rev. Ferdick from N.Y. At seven we had our own meeting and 22 raised their hands for prayer and 18 got saved. A fine time. At night all the trucks took men from the 26th and 28th to the front. The Germans gassed many of our men.

A wonderful and busy day. The air raids are terrible, many planes and much noise. But our boys are busy. I went with Staff to Lignu on a shopping trip and had a lot of fun. Saw two French funerals. Went to the hospital and saw Howard. He is better. The hospital was a school before the war. It was a fine trip and we came home late and tired.

A rainy and muddy day but this is the life for me. The hut was crowded all day and the rain kept up. Capt. went to help Maj. Achens. It was a real treat; some of the boys were from the N.G. of the 26th. It was fine to see them. Went home late and happy. Heard good news that Col. B. was coming. A happy day.
